To maximise Thailand’s socio-economic potential, stronger alignment between the aviation ecosystem and tourism sector is critical. This session convenes government policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to examine how an integrated, future-ready aviation ecosystem can drive shared prosperity and sustainable growth. Discussions will focus on enhancing infrastructure, improving seamless connectivity, fostering destination development, and aligning regulatory frameworks. By strengthening collaboration across stakeholders, the session aims to identify actionable strategies to position Thailand as a highly connected, resilient, and globally competitive tourism and aviation hub.
This session will explore how rapid technological innovation across the aviation ecosystem is reshaping roles, reducing physical barriers, and unlocking new opportunities for women to thrive in operational, technical, and leadership pathways. Airports across the region are undergoing a historic transformation driven by automation, digitization, and remote operational capabilities. These innovations fundamentally change the skill sets required in airport and airline roles. Many tasks that were previously highly physical are becoming technology‑enabled, opening the door for far more diverse talent pipelines. As barriers tied to physical strength and on‑site constraints diminish, women – historically under-represented in operational airport and airline roles – are better positioned to enter, thrive, and lead in this evolving landscape.
